This blog is dedicated to thoughtfully, yet playfully reimagining, rethinking, and retooling social studies education in aid of addressing the democratic deficit in education, and supporting full critical democratic particpation globally.

Ohhhh Noam, ever thine, ever mine, ever ours!...giggle. I can't help it; I crush on him.
I was talking to a fellow soon-to-be social teacher and she hadn't heard of Manufacturing Consent. I'm in my mid-thirties so I realized that some of the twenty-somethings may not know it. I watched it in my teens. It changed my life. Not only did it make me look at the media more critically but Noam Chomsky modeled the type of person I want to be (and type of man I want to be with...giggle). He showed me how to seek out the truth, not pick up a newspaper but cross-examine numerous and pair that with my intellect, reason, and commonsense. Thank god for noam and others that seek to illuminate the truth.
