Model United Nations Information

Welcome to your Model United Nations expereince....

We will be simulating the United Nations Environment Program Committee Nov. 21 and Nov. 25.

In order to increase the synergestic possibilities of our expereince we will follow the UVIC procedures and issues. All available at the UVIC Model United Nations Club site http://web.uvic.ca/~unclub/. Briefing papers and committee overview and procedures found on this site.

At Tuesday's class you will be assigned a nation to represent and I will answer any questions you may have.

In order to participate you will complete the following for the 21 November session;

1. Country Placard
2. Position Paper on topic/issues before committee Topic I: Global Warming Topic II: Sustainable Agriculture and Biodiversity
3. Cooperate with other delegations in the creation of resolutions

Hey guys,
After going through the morning news I came across an article in the New York Times that was kind of interesting, and relating to the topics that we will be discussing during our MUN. The article entitled, "UN Reports Pollution Threat in Asia," just gives current background information on pollution, what's causing it, and who is most affected.
