I received this link today from a friend. I was destroyed when I played mainly because my knowledge of United States' geography is pretty limited. Here is the link, see how you make out:

first of all. thank you for posting a game on here! i love that i logged in thinking i was here to come up with something smart and enlightening. but rather i played this US state game. i was pretty pleased with my effort nonetheless. it wasnt great but i think i did okay. got 41 of them placed perfectly, average miss of 43 miles. i think that also we as teachers could use tools like this. i gather that such maps are available for geographic regions all over the world. perhaps students could use these "games" to help them understand just where certain countries are. or in this games case (the United States). i believe that many of today's students would be very excited to use the internet and such game sites as this one as a way of LEARNING! ............ now what do you know, i got toplay a game and game up with something enlightening! :)
